Bastille Day on Smith St (3D Multimedia Coverage)
Martin Lenclos created a format for 3D interactive and interpretative representation of live events used for online diffusion. In 2008, in collaboration with Joe and Andy Weitzel, he launched Coverage3D, a platform built to enable online users to “visit” event coverages virtually, getting a sense of the event experience through interviews, streamed video, sound, and photography.
Bastille Day website. For Pernod Ricard USA. — Coverage, video, photos and interviews. Martin Lenclos built an interpretative representation of Smith Street, a street the city closes during the Bastille Day events in the Carroll Gardens area of Brooklyn, NY. Sand covers the grounds and people play petanque.
Coverage3D created a campaign for Ricard USA (a brand of Pernod Ricard, which also owns and distributes Absolut Vodka) around their biggest sponsored event, the Bastille Day Petanque Tournament, organized in the streets of Brooklyn. We created and distributed a 3D interactive mini-app, a video overview, a series of short interviews with attendees and exhibitors, and a photo gallery.
